Bracket only: bushes are not included. The Powerflex PFR5-4030 dual-mount rear differential bracket is for the BMW F87 M2, F80 M3 and F82/F83 M4. It provides the bracket needed to use the second rear differential mounting position in the original subframe. Choose your rear mounting bushes separately, or select one of our complete packages below.
BMW F8x fitment, not a universal F-series bracket
Suitable applications are the BMW M2 F87, including M2 Competition, M3 F80, M4 Coupe F82 and M4 Convertible F83. This is not a general-purpose bracket for every F-series BMW. Powerflex's published PFR5-4030 application list does not establish G80, G81, G82, G83 or G87 compatibility; do not select it for a G8x car simply because the rear bush reference is shared.
What is included?
- One Powerflex PFR5-4030 dual-mount differential bracket.
- The manufacturer's supplied M14 bolt and thread locker.
- No rear differential bushes and no front differential mounting bush set.
The bracket replaces BMW bracket reference 33172284775. This reference identifies the bracket, not a mounting bush.
Choose the correct rear bush arrangement
A dual-bush installation uses two rear mounting bushes in total. The bracket can be paired with two suitable Genuine BMW rubber bushes, two PFR5-4026 polyurethane rear bushes, or the manufacturer-approved mixed rubber/polyurethane arrangement. With the mixed arrangement, Powerflex specifies the polyurethane bush in the previously vacant right-hand mounting position.
Bracket or complete differential mounting kit?
Choose the bracket with two Genuine BMW rear bushes for a rubber-bush rear mounting package. For a polyurethane front and rear refresh, choose the complete F8x differential bracket and bush kit. The separate bracket and front-bush package does not include rear bushes.
Fitting and expectations
The purpose of the second mounting point is to help control differential movement under changing drivetrain loads. A bracket is not a diagnosis or guaranteed cure for every rear-end knock or wheel-hop problem. Inspect the existing mounts and use the Powerflex fitting instructions. Bush choice can affect transmitted noise and vibration. Check the chassis and existing mounting arrangement before ordering; there is no blanket fitment guarantee.
